🇿🇦 How to Add Funds to Your Zeam Wallet in South Africa

It all starts by adding funds to your Zeam wallet.

In South Africa, there are three easy ways to top up - whether you prefer using your bank, going in-store with cash, or using instant PayShap.

Let’s break it down.

💳 1. Bank EFT (Electronic Transfer)

If you prefer online banking, you can top up your Zeam wallet using a regular EFT from any major South African bank.

🟡 How it works:

  1. Open the Zeam app or WhatsApp chat

  2. Tap “Add Funds”, then select “EFT ”

  3. Use the unique banking details shown

  4. NB! When entering payment reference be sure to use your Zeam Reference (in the purple section at the top of the screen)

  5. Make a transfer from your online banking app

⚡ 2. PayShap (Instant Transfer)

Need your funds immediately? Use PayShap to add money instantly from supported banking apps.

🟡 How it works:

  1. Tap “Add Funds”, then choose “Direct Deposit”

  2. Follow the instructions and enter your Zeam-linked ShapID

  3. NB! When entering payment reference be sure to use your Zeam Reference (in the purple section at the top of the screen)

  4. Complete the transfer in your banking app

🏪 3. EasyPay (Cash at Retailers)

Don’t have a bank account? No problem.
You can top up your Zeam wallet using cash at thousands of EasyPay partner stores.

🟡 How it works:

  1. Tap “Add Funds”, then select “EasyPay cash-in”

  2. Give the cashier your code or show the barcode at the till

  3. Hand over the cash (Min R50)

  4. Your funds will appear shortly in your Zeam wallet
